Who we are

Handset (handset.dev) is a business communications platform that provides messaging, voice, and phone-number services to software platforms and their business customers. Contact: hello@handset.dev.

SMS messaging and consent

Handset sends text messages only to recipients who have opted in — by providing their phone number directly to Handset or to a business using Handset's services and consenting to receive messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out — you will receive one final confirmation and nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or contact hello@handset.dev. Reply START to resubscribe.

Mobile phone numbers and text-message opt-in consent are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Information we collect

To provide the service we process: contact details you give us (name, email, phone number), message and call metadata and content handled by the platform on behalf of our customers, voicemail recordings and their transcripts, and usage records for billing. We collect only what the service needs to operate.

How we use and protect it

Data is used to deliver messaging and voice services, meet telecom compliance obligations (including opt-out enforcement), and bill for usage. Sensitive values are encrypted at rest; recordings are stored in access-controlled storage and served through expiring links. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can opt out of messages at any time (STOP), request access to or deletion of your personal information, or ask questions about this policy by emailing hello@handset.dev.
